Life’s Journey

by BlondieWrites on September 4, 2009

To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.

When God takes something from your grasp, He’s not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better.

Remember this … The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

God bless you on your life’s journey.

God Knows

by BlondieWrites on September 2, 2009

When you are tired and discouraged from fruitless efforts…
God knows how hard you have tried.

When you’ve cried so long and your heart is in anguish…
God has counted your tears.

If you feel that your life is on hold and time has passed you by…
God is waiting with you.

When you’re lonely and your friends are too busy even for a phone call…
God is by your side.

When you think you’ve tried everything and don’t know where to turn…
God has a solution.

When nothing makes sense and you are confused or frustrated…
God has the answer.

If suddenly your outlook is brighter and you find traces of hope…
God has whispered to you.

When things are going well and you have much to be thankful for…
God has blessed you.

When something joyful happens and you are filled with awe…
God has smiled upon you.

When you have a purpose to fulfill and a dream to follow…
God has opened your eyes and called you by name.

Remember that wherever you are or whatever you are facing…
God knows.

The Seasons of Life

by BlondieWrites on September 2, 2009

There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a trip to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away. The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in summer and the youngest son in the fall.

When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen. The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent and twisted. The second son said no–it was covered with green buds and full of promise. The third son disagreed, he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen. The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.

The man then explained to his sons that they were all correct because they had each seen but ONLY one season in the tree’s life. He told them that you cannot judge a tree or a person by only one season and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy and love that come from that life can only be measured at the end when all the seasons have been passed through.

If you give up when it’s winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer, fulfillment of your fall. Don’t le the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest. Don’t judge life by one difficult season. Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come during the next season.

May all of your seasons be full of joy!
